short status update

we are now in anal between Kiel & the Northsea.
The weather is cold but dry.

Yesterday was really nice, we started one day earlier as expected and have done about 130km.
We arrived in a marina close to Kiel at 3.00am
This morning we left the marina at 7.00 like cheap dutch guys to make sure we didn't have to pay

We had to learn a lot yesterday, never sailed a boat like this.
Lucky we have an excellent sailing captain (Ruppert) who is teaching us.
The trimming capabilities of the boat are amazing but that makes it so difficult.

The sailing is amazing, yesterday we averaged on 80% of windspeed.
Sailing at night is an amazing experience, quite scary. On a sailing boat it is much quieter than on a motorboat but you have a lot less control, you cannot just change course.
You really have to plan the course, but that is part of the fun ofcourse.

Today is a day under engine.
We still need to do about 40km to the end of the channel, we are doing about 12km/h so almost done.
Then we have a short sail to the first Marina on the Northsea.

Plan is to leave tomorrow early depending the weather forecast.
Tomorrow could be the toughest day.

The internet is giving us issues, it was supposed to work all the time but here in the canal it doesn't.
Still trying to figure our why.
